GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION IN RIVERS STATE
ABSTRACT
Corruption remains the problem of Nigeria local government
system and was the reason the researcher choose to write on impact of
corruption in Nigeria local government system to find out the course and the
impact of corruption in the system and also the protection solutions to those
problems if possible.
The research used
questionnaire both structure and unstructured where carrying out his research
on the above topic.
He mainly focused this
on the staff of the local government council of Enugu North.
The researcher found
out that the main cause of corruption for power, such as embezzlement , get
rich syndrome etc another finding if that low productivity is major impact of
corruption in local government council.
Finally, the researcher
recommended some ways of reducing corruption if not to eradicate it, such an
anti-corruption both code of conducts delegating on moral value and finally the
federal government should appoint an auditor general for local government and
accountant for general for local government at the federal level.
